About Us

Helping Landowners Restore Nature with Purpose.

At the core of our approach is a simple philosophy: help landowners do more with their land — while giving more back to the land itself.

Our Approach

Rooted in Collaboration & Science

Our approach is rooted in collaboration, transparency, and ecological responsibility. We believe that effective land management begins with understanding the unique goals of each landowner, carefully balancing budget constraints, site conditions, and long-term sustainability.

We take the time to walk each property, listen to your vision, and develop tailored strategies that reflect both your priorities and the ecological potential of the land. Whether you're aiming to improve habitat, restore a wetland, control invasive species, or comply with environmental regulations — our solutions deliver practical, lasting results.

Our Commitment

Every Project, Every Site

Our work is guided by a deep commitment to restoring and enhancing local ecosystems across the Delmarva Region. Every project — large or small — is approached with a stewardship mindset: improving soil health, supporting native wildlife, improving water quality, and increasing the resilience of natural landscapes.

We combine scientific expertise, hands-on fieldwork, and the latest ecological management techniques to bridge the gap between environmental needs and real-world land use.

Meet Advanced Ecology

Started with Conservation in Mind

Advanced Ecology bridges the gap between landowners and ecological management.

Advanced Ecology LLC was established in June 2020 by founder and owner Cory Cook, with a mission to deliver high-quality, science-based environmental services rooted in a deep respect for nature. Cory is a graduate of West Virginia University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Forest Resource Management. He began his career as a project supervisor and later as a project manager for a regional environmental consulting firm before pursuing his goal of starting his own company.

Cory is a Certified Construction Reviewer (CCR), a Delaware Gold Card Holder, and a Licensed Pesticide Applicator with the Delaware Department of Agriculture — reflecting Advanced Ecology's commitment to industry standards, regulatory compliance, and safe, effective fieldwork.

As an avid outdoorsman, conservationist, and lifelong hunter, Cory believes in "giving back more than you take." He formerly served as chairman of his local Ducks Unlimited chapter and was honored with the West Virginia Chairman of the Year Award in 2015.

Why Choose Us

What Sets Us Apart.

Trusted by landowners, municipalities, and HOAs across Delaware and the Mid-Atlantic.

01

20 Years of Field Experience

Two decades of combined expertise in natural resource management, stormwater, and coastal ecosystems means we've seen — and solved — the full spectrum of land management challenges across the Mid-Atlantic region.

02

Ecology-First Approach

Every decision we make is filtered through an ecological lens. We don't just fix symptoms — we restore the underlying health of your land so results are sustainable for years to come.

03

Regulatory Compliance Expertise

Navigating local, state, and federal environmental regulations is complex. As a Certified Construction Reviewer and licensed applicator, we handle compliance so you don't have to worry about it.

04

Tailored to Every Site

No two properties are the same. We walk every site, listen to your goals, and develop a strategy built around your land's specific ecology, constraints, and long-term potential — not a template.
